Losing It! 12.17.10

Christmas is coming! Christmas is coming!

Did I get you excited? How many of you had Christmas parties to attend this week? Hmmmmm…? How’d we do? Hmmmm…? I had my office party and my child’s party at school. I tend to stick more in my mouth at her school. What is up with that?

I was supposed to have a lovely dinner with church friends on Wednesday night, but it decided to seriously ICE in the ATL. My hubby fishtailed it all the way home, and then we stayed home. It was a nervous night as I watched on Twitter and Facebook waiting for everyone to get home safely. Some were stuck for over four hours! I was exhausted by the time the night was over just watching and praying. Social Media does add more drama to life. That’s for sure.

I digress… How are we all doing on the CONTEST? Remember, we’re seeing who can maintain or lose the most through the holidays.

I lost the pound I had gained last week. I’m wondering if I was just holding on to some water. So, I’m at a total of 2 pounds lost for the contest. Now, I don’t want to win the prize so somebody better beat me! Come on girls!!!!

  1. I have no tricks because I’ve never done well at abstaining at holiday parties. I do have to say that I am finding it is easier to go without any sweets at all than it is to limit myself to just one, but that’s probably because I’m an obvious sugar addict!

    • I agree Amelia. It’s so much easier to just NOT eat sweets than to eat just a few sweets. There is something in the sugar that triggers a craving. I too have to totally stay away from the sweets table!

  2. I finally linked up. Man, working full time sure puts a crimp in my blogging. (But I’ve heard the pay is better!) 😉

    My only plan for parties is moderation. I eat. But not over eat. It’s been working for me so far.
